Dive Boots...on a kayaking site? "you must be crazy" you all say to your self, but its true. i enrolled in the SCUBA class at U of Memphis this semester and they were part of the gear that i had to buy. they are made by deep see and are OUTSTANDING!!!! they are neopreme with thick rubber souls. they have a zipper on the inside of each leg. my dive teacher said that he walks on lava rock with them. the only problem that i have found with them is that since they are not designed for kayaking they are not designed to take large amounts of water...by that i mean that if you have to swim, which we all have to do from time to time, then the tops will open up and collect water like a parachute. this problem can be easily solved by tying the tops with shoe string or cutting the bottom 6 inches off of an old wetsuite and putting it around the top on each leg. the best part is that these will be the last boots for kayaking that you will ever have to buy. the dive shop has UNLIMITED LIFETIME GUARENTEES of all of their products that they sell.
