The mobile version shows a "New" next to new threads and new posts to existing threads.  Can the main forums page be coded to show the same thing next to individual forums the same way the forum icon is a darker blue on the full browser version?

not sure what I can do about the stye sheet for the mobile version but I will lookinto and see

currently the main forum listing shows the number of the forum in red if there is a new item - but not sure why it does that exactly. ill figure it out though

Hmm . . . that must be something from your iPhone's browser.  My BlackBerry browser doesn't show any difference between a forum with new posts and those without.  Of course Opera Mini loads the full browser version and I can see what's new and what's not from there but the lite version loads much faster.

Pulls up the same formatted page in the BlackBerry browser.  I'm giving Opera Mini a shot now.  Do me a favor and post a response here so I can see what it does.

You're right, they suck.  Wait . . . how much are you dishing out per month to AT&T for that iPhone?  Mine's pretty steep . . oh yea, I forgot . . . it's free.   :evil: :wink:

It does show the forum number in red from Opera Mini.  That's what I wanted anyway.  I don't want to use the built in browser at all because it blows.

well I actually saved money with the Iphone plan over what I was paying.
and word has it in January the company will start paying for my phone as well.. so it will be free AND not suck!
