good morning
« on: June 14, 2009, 05:28:08 PM »
Hello all
just saying hi.  Novice whitewater guy here, did some class 3-4 several years ago, decided to finally get back into it.  Lived in Germantown for 30 years, recently moved to Rossville. Usually paddle Shelby Farms, herb parsons or upriver from Rossville wolf river landing.
I'm going to try to make it to Garibaldi's or roll class to meet some of you in the near future....

Dave:  You need to meet Russell.  You guys are neighbors, probably the same age, and have the same paddling interests.  Unfortunately, Russell is having shoulder surgery and will probably be out of commission for a while.  Hi, Dave!  Get well, Russell!  :-)

Russell...
I sure wouldn't disagree with you about the Wolf River Cafe, but is there another restaurant in Rossville?

Absolutely...El Molino Mexican Restaurant...on Hwy 57 just west of Gurkins...I'm telling you man I'm living in paradise out here.During my second wk at home recuperating Cindi would take me to Wolf River Daycare and drop me off while she ran errands, big glass of tea, chicken sandwich and fries and a good book ...the afternoon passed quite agreeably.Where else can you go and have women call you honey, sweety and take time to sit down with you and listen with sympathy to your tale of woe.

I guess Gurkins could be considerered a restaurant if you sit around outside with your corn dog and fried chicken
