Hi Eddie.  Hope to see you around.  Hop on some of the trips you see posted.  What have you paddled?

Hi Sonny, and thanks. Well absolutely a newbie, flatwater only. Patriot Lake, Shore Line of Arkabutla, 4ac lake on my property. 2 diff boats so far, a 9.6 Old Town Rush and a 15.6 Perception. I took the basic class with Outdoors INC. last Sat. out on Patriot Lake. It was a blast. Wim taught it. Cant wait for another class with him. He seemed pretty impressed with what I have done. Just need to get out now lol.

Good to have you on board Eddie.
Wim is a great teacher and will keep you out of bad habits. As Sonny said tried to get on board some trips. Ask questions.

Thanks shamen. I am diff. going to try some trips out. First things first... need a little more time in a boat. Personal time I guess I am trying to say. Get more comfy with it. Some of the trips are hard for me to make as I org. a local hiking backpacking group on Meetup.com so I will try to get out with you guys as much as I can. With winter come on and I really don't know much about staying warm on the water ( can do very well on Terra firma though) so I will have to see how it goes lol. Yeah I really like Wim and hope to get to paddle more with him. I know that Outdoors Inc has stopped the paddle classes until April but I will pick it up again as soon as they start them back. In the mean time is there any indoor pools we can practice at? just out of curiosity.

Eddie,
We currently do  not have a pool to use.  Sometime in the future we might have one to use again.

Are you looking more at flatwater paddling or wanting to get into whitewater paddling?

mhoward at this point that I don't know yet, to early to tell I guess lol. I do love the flatwater that I have paddled but once I get confident with a good boat who knows where I would go. Right now just needing more basic paddling to build up to the other I guess. But I hear tell your da man to learn rolls from. Maybe could learn from you when you get a chance sometime.
