Surfing on the Snake

Here's a cool article and video on CNN.com about surfing the Lunch Counter rapid on the Snake River near Jackson Hole, WY.  Looks like fun!

Back in '98 while visiting my sister and brother in law in Wilson I rented a Sparc (did not know any better) The Lunch Counter pretty much had it's way with me since the Sparc was essentially submerged at the stern. :roll:

An Animas or Arc would have been a much better choice, I think Paul Adams still has his Arc. :-D

I took the "chicken route" on the left and still flipped and had a hard time rolling! JoAnn was ready to kill me for paddling alone! :evil:

Looks good. I was trying to figure out how they kept the boaters out of the shot. Good to see you back on the forum Tom. I hope it isn't too long before we see on the water again, and hopefully your wife will approve.
