Plateau in the Summer
« on: August 18, 2010, 04:34:58 PM »
Very odd to see parts of the Plateau going off in the summer.  You can go back through the years of Dr. Sonny's post when he mentions the Big South Fork being at 2CFS.  It is shot up to over 7000CFS a little while ago and looks like more rain will hit it before it is all done.

Too bad it is about 6 hours away.

When I checked the gauge Wednesday morning it was at 1000CFS and when I posted this it was about 7000CFS, so it rose about 6000CFS in 6 hours.  At 11:30pm it is at 9700CFS and climbing...  The other rivers in the area are coming up now also, but it still looks pretty spotty.  Obed is rising but Clear Creek is not budging.... Not bad for the summer..
